In this first episode, I talk to Lew about the book, his motivation for writing Consulting 101 and who is the primary audience. Here’s some of the questions Lew addressed:
- Lets start with the Book – How did you come to see a need for Consulting 101? – Was it mostly from the lack of early knowledge in your career or observations of others?
- Who will benefit from information in the book? New Consultants and Professionals or Experienced Professionals?
- Will this apply to all situations of consulting? Engineering, Business, Accounting etc?
- Explore other professions – Law, Retail…

- What are some of the key areas where people error when starting out in consulting?
- What is the biggest blunder you, or someone you knew has made?
- The book includes quite a few ‘Case Studies’ – How did you come up with and recall the story’s and tips to use in the book?
- I assume the names have been changed to protect the innocent…. as well as the guilty, but how close are these anecdotes to ‘real life’?
